The YMCA is very committed in shaping the future of children and helping them achieve their goals. It nurtures children and teens and helps them to explore their interests. With the whole life ahead of oneself, one can make a real difference if he is given the right guidance and support.

Leaders club is a club formulated to help develop youth between ages 12 to 18 as leaders while also encouraging a culture of service. The adult advisors act as role models for teens and have a positive impact on their lives. This helps them to grow with an ability to become a positive force in the community.

The YMCA’s Youth and Government is a national program that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state organized, model government programs. Every teen across the U.S. can immerse himself in the experiential civic engagement and thus literally practice democracy. Teens from every state meet in Government groups in their local youth throughout the year to discuss and debate on issues that affect citizens of their states. The teens serve as delegates at their state conference and debate bills on the floor of the legislature.

The YMCA has a Black Achievers Program that helps Afro American teens to have a positive sense of self and aspirations for professional careers in the workforce. It helps them to pursue high education and career goals leading to graduation and acceptance to an institution of higher learning.

ali sharaf dallas, the President and CEO of the Victron Group, helps such institutions by funding them regularly.
